Adventure Day: A Walk in the Park

We’ve all been going so stir crazy. Between sickness and cold weather, I’m so very much over winter. When I saw the other day that it was going to be in the 60s I knew we HAD to get out and adventure. I had no plan. No idea where we were going to go, but we were going.

I picked tiny man up from school and just started driving. We ended up at the park across the street from our house. It’s a 1600 acre park so I figured we’d find SOMETHING to do.

We hiked through the woods, tried to climb trees and sat on every bench we could find.  We circled the pond and saw what seemed like hundreds of geese.  Tiny man even had his first adventure in peeing in nature since we were a long ways from a bathroom with a tiny, toddler bladder. Then, of course, when he saw all that goose mess he asked if he could also poop in nature. His toddler logic makes sense, but, no, we hold that for the restroom.

We finally ended up at the playground. I was shocked to find that there was no one else there. It was 60+ degrees in February, why was there NO ONE outside?! That just meant more room for us to run and play and I didn’t have to worry about losing him in a sea of kiddos. And, yes, he made that ring pop last through the whole adventure.

Your adventure looked fun (and beautiful!). Did you jump in to a shot as well? I love it!
