{It’s Time}

I stepped into the world of photography for one reason; to document my kiddos childhoods. I wanted to capture all the tiny moments. You know, those little pieces of everyday life that make up your story, but might be forgotten over time.

When I made the leap to starting a photography business I wanted to do the same for other families. Just like any new business owner you flounder for a bit. You try to find your footing. You try to identify your passion, mold your brand and figure out how to make your dreams and vision come to life.

In the beginning, I looked to veteran business owners and photographers for inspiration and direction, but instead of finding myself I just emulated what I thought I was “supposed” to be doing. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve met amazing families and we’ve created beautiful images and memories, but in my heart there’s always been a little something missing.  That something that makes my business truly me. My brand. My vision.

I knew that vision always lied somewhere in real life. Everyday moments. Authentic stories. I just struggled with letting go of the “supposed to” and allowing myself to be different.

Over the last year, I’ve found my voice. I see my vision. I can feel it now. I’ve learned to break out of the mold. I’ve never felt so excited and inspired. I often hear people say to me “I wish you could just come to my house and take pictures of my kids like you do your own.”

Here’s the thing.

I can.

I will.

That’s exactly it!! That IS what I want to do.

Your story. Your little moments. Your real life. Let’s do it.

I’ve created new ways of doing things. I will no longer be meeting you in a random park for your session. Going forward I will be capturing the real you and everything that matters most to you. There’s a couple of ways we can do this:

In Home Lifestyle Story Sessions: 

I come to you. We capture your everyday. This can be as directed as you’d like; specific activities planned or just following you around on your normal daily routine. This is where we preserve those little moments.

Adventure Story Sessions:

I follow you on your family adventure; the zoo, berry picking, pumpkin patch, whatever outing is special to your story. Think of me as your own personal paparazzi; a fly on the wall.  You get to be completely present and enjoy the experience with your family and I’ll be there to document it.
